Exclamation Asterina Sea Star

I just found one on the glass and i read that they arent too good for my tank. What should i do? I think there are many many more but i cannot see them clearly so they might not be, just little white dots. This was the first one i could definately confirm as an Asterina sea star.

Thanks, Elan

I'm not sure they are as much of a problem as some make them out to be. In one of the books I read the author said they have a bad rap but I am not sure of who or what book...

I have had them in my tank for months and have had no problems. I would just keep an eye on the tank, as I'm sure you do, or remove the ones you can. You can also get a harlequin but you will likely have to feed him after he goes through the Asterinas.

I saw one in my tank a while back and though nothing of it. That is until I saw several on some of my zoos. This was about a month ago and the zoos they were on are now just recovering. If you see them getting out of hand you can throw in some harlequin shrimps.
