What size QT is he in, also what are the water parameters in your QT? Also a 150 gallon is not large enough for an 8" Achillies.

How about some info on the QT? It sounds like lack of oxygen. I agree with cmart28. That's a big fish...

yea i wasnt looking for such a big fish but had the oportunity to get him
i think you are right on the oxygen idea
the water in the qt is good.
i took a koralia 4 pump out of my dt and put it in the qt and i took an old air pump and i am adding air under the pump every 15-20 minutes now the fish is in themiddle of the tank and looks alot better.
i am looking for a bigger tank for him
i found a 260 gallon yesterday but someone bought it just before me.also found a 300 gallon and a 250 gallon.so he will get a bigger tank he will only be in the 150 for a month or so.

Its an Achillies Tang, you are always going to have problems with it. Achillies tangs are EXTREMELY delicate, those should be left in the wild.

when i worked for a local moving co. years ago,i had the pleasure of moving a 300g glass tank in to house for a customer(3 of us did this)...anyway he had an achilles, the first one i had ever since or heard of.awesome fish.I have also heard of them being delicate specimens.he had had it for some time and that was years ago and he still has it.achilles1 is his screenname, search for him and he could probably help
