Lighting on 29g SPS & Clam Tank
Hey all, I am starting me up a new tank soon. I want to keep SPS and probably a maxima clam. How much lighting do I need to put over this tank. The tanks is 29 gallons about 19" tall. I want to go with a metal halide and I'm thinking a 250 watt 14k pendant would be sufficient, but would like to hear others opinions. I also see a light that has a 250watt mh and 2 - 65watt compact florescent, would that be too much for a 29g? Thanks

To Reef Central Back when I had my 29 set up (( transferred over to a 33 cube )) I had the Current Sunpod over it (( 250 watt with a Phoenix bulb )). I didn't think it was too much light, I was keeping SPS and a Clam.
