I don’t know the names of most of them I had a tank with fish for years, years ago & someone was moving & he gave me a tank full of coral I just feed it with seachem products just do the most basic maintenance & it has been running fine. Knock on wood. 2 ½ foot snowflake eel ,50 crabs & snails + garf grung & 2 starfish(the reef janitors from garf.org) & a blue damsel & 1 blue spot damsel that just starting eating my coral in the last few weeks. So I’m going to get rid of thim. I do want to put fish in the tank. I Please let me know your input.

Steve

Hawaiian Flame Wrasse - covered top(expensive fiah that can jump)

Clownfish in a anemone (whats the best type of clown fish for a reef tank)- NO Marooin's( agrresive and territorial) NO TOMATO
So a pair of ocellaris will do.

Blue Mandarin - should have an established pod population. meaning a mature tank with many live rock

Blue Hippo Tangs

Yellow tang
Copperband Butterflyfish – I have a Aiptasia problem but will they eat other corals?-- no they will not eat corals.

Chalk Bass
Lawnmower blemie- great for algae

So hope that helps.

Wouldn't a mandarin (or any bottom dwelling fish) be a problem with the eel?

I don't have any experience with eels, so I don't know what is compatible/safe with them.
