Is this amount of flow good for reef tank
Hi guys, I would like to ask is this flow suitable for a 4ft tank or 2.5ft tank?
I'm planning to get this pump as my return pump. Lifetech SPB 610 Pond Pump Flowrate : 10000L/H Hmax: 2.9M watt : 75 watt The new tank will be having soft Coral , anemone and LPS . The 4ft tank is 67 gal and the other one is 29Gal tank. |

Are you trying to return to both tanks from a common sump?
And if so, how many feet is the run up?

your return pump shouldn't be your only water movement. You are going to want 5-10 X turnover through your sump but you will need more than that in your display to eliminate dead spots. If powerhrads are not an option I would look into a closed loop

yes if possible I would like to connect the return pump for both tank. Distance for the 67ga tank height is 4ft height and the 29gal is 2.5 ft height.
Which pump have better performance ? Lifetech SPB 610 or RS7100 Pump Lifetech spec: Flowrate : 10000L/H Hmax : 2.9M Watt: 75watt RS7100 Spec: Flowrate : 5000L/H Hmax: 5M watt: 140watt |
