White spot on tang eye

I have a powder brown tang and he has this white spot in his eye, looks like something is stuck in his eye. He had it on the right and rubbed it off now on left. Any idea's. This is a new tang to the tank, just last weekend. Do tangs normally turn to the side and rube on the sand?

It may be flukes. A Ph adjusted fresh water dip will provide some immediate relief. Prazipro can be used to treat flukes in the tank. There is also a possibility it is Ich.

rubbing its body against the sand or rocks usually indicates external parasites... very likely ich. search the forum for ich treatment.
good luck

as others have said could be ich or flukes and could also get popeye like symptoms from infection from the flukes if they are in his eyes..

I was told that liquid Garlic may help, put it in the tank and put on the food. Anyone try this.

I started another thread 'does garlic help ich', I'm using a Kent product called Garlic extreme and it looks like it's working. I will post to the other thread. So you can see if it works. Thanks

garlic is just a supplement I belive to boost their immune system it is not a cure for ich you need to treat your fish whethar it is copper, hyposalinity, or para guard
