Green slime? Red slime or Cyano?
I have some sort of green slime that seems to only be growing on one of my rocks. I've scraped it off, but within a few days its back. I also have either red slime or cyano, not sure which one. Any thoughts on how to get rid of these guys? Here are some pics that I hope will help.
Thanks in advance! [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

If you have them on a few rocks, take them out and scrub them. Next time you do a water change, use a turkey baster and blow them off the rocks and suck up the junk into the drain.

I had similar issues... if you find a fix for it, let me know.
Thanks |

Cyano will not grow if there is a good water flow. Puff off the rocks with a turkey baster, Then suck it up & get it out of the tank. Add a few power heads to get a good water movement in the tank. If you already have power heads in there, redirect them. Here is a good artical on Cyano Bacteria from Capn hylinur
