White spot in my Yellow Tang

Guys,
My yellow tang has one white grain like thing, sticking to its dorsal fin. I have attached a pic. Can you please tell me if its Ich?
This is the only spot and its there for more than a month. The fish is fine though. The LFS guy told me Ich will be like many small white dots on the fish. This is one single grain sticking to its fin.
Thanks,
Vick

The image is not very clear. But please look for a white spot on its dorsal fin.
Thanks,
Vick

its been there for more than a month and none are multiplying? maybe just a bad scrape? try feeding garlic or so, if the fish looks and acts healthy just keep an eye on it and if they spread qt it for sure.

Its not Ich. My yellow tang has a little "grain" like thing on its dorsal fin as well and from what i can tell its just a natural occurrence...like a birth mark, if you will. The only thing is that the one on my tang is the same color as its skin, and you say yours is white. Yours could possibly be a parasite. Its hard to tell from the picture.

Unless you are referring to the white triangular spot on the rear of the fish...which is on every yellow tang...but I didn't think you were

Questions...
1 - How many fish do you have in the tank...?
2 - Do any of the other fish have the white spots ?
3 - IS it just One White spot...On one fish..???

IF it is ICK....IT will look like someone sprinkled salt on the fish....Tiny specs of white spots. And it will affect & will be on all of the fish.

Please post more pictures if you think its getting worse.

If it is ICK....you will also see it on the other fish
