re-Aqua Scaping

Hi thanks for your time!

Is it less stressfull to move the fish to a temporary tank - or leave them in the tank while you re-aqua scape?

I have some bubble algae that I was going to try to remove while I'm already wet, so it could take more time to re-arrange my liverocke.

IMO it would be best to move them to a temp holding tank. But it also just depends on how much rearranging your going to be doing. If your going to be disturbing the sandbed then definitely move the livestock out.

i agree. it really depends on how much lr you will be moving around....then again you can stress you fish out a great deal chasing them around the tank to take them out and put them in a temp tank only to repeat the process again to put them back into the main tank. if you are going to be disturbing ths sandbed i would have some prime and amquel +around just in incase

I just leave my fish in the tank, and take the inverts out.

My fish start hitting the glass if I chase them with the net, so I stop. Disturbing the sand bed is fine as long as you don't move and shake around the whole thing. You'll defenetley have a mess then. Only move as much as you need to...

For example, To take out a rock that is in the sand, do it slowly, and shake off the rest of the sand on it by the bottom.

To put the rock back in, wiggle it inwards to the sand.

thanks all - I'm leaning torwards leaving them in; I think moving them twice would be more stressful.
