The Test Results Are In And...

They read in mg/l

Yup, The Elos test kit for Mg is telling me that my magnesium is 1050 mg/l. Is it safe to say that this can be translated to 1050 ppm or do I need to convert something?

Oh, and if you're running a reef, that's a tad low. You'll want to buffer it. I need to buffer mine as well and everyone seems to recommend Kent Mg buffer.

What salt is that chat?

You will like the two part solution.

That would be this one.

Apparently it's getting very good reviews... so I ordered some to see how it does.

I also ordered the two part solution from BRS. Before I start using it though I'm going to wait until I switch salts and get my params to the right levels. Because right now they are way off.

Nice, I have heard some good things about that salt too. I was wondering if that was what you were talking about by looking at the numbers you posted. Please keep us posted as to the turn out.

You can always boost your levels and get them where you want them(slowly) and then start using the two part. There is now need to wait, unless thats what makes you more comfortable.

Here is a great too for figuring what you need to get things in line.

Good luck and please keep us posted.

Yes I'm anxious to see how it performs. I first started with IO, now using Tropic Marin Pro.

The materials I ordered for the two part solution are from BRS, so I have to use their calculator, which you can find here, although that tool is handy you sent.

I'll keep you posted. Should arrive within the week.
