Sand Bed in Fuge
I have a 4" deep sand bed in my fuge together with LR. It's a mix of medium and fine Aragonite and I did get a cup of sand from a friends 6 month old tank to seed the bed. I have snails and crabs but they don't go down more than an inch. but I need something to go deeper to ensure the bed is stirred. I don't see any worms in my sand bed is there somewhere I can get them or is there something else I can add to stir the sand up?

Get some fresh live rock, it should have some hitch hikers on it.

What is your purpose for having the sand bed? If it is for nitrate reduction, you don't want to stir it up.
