animals for cleaning

Here in Brazil usually use animals for cleaning more often than you see in the reefs.
we even have one rule for the initial quantity, 1 cerithium and a hermit crab for each 5 liters of water
Tegula viridula 1 for every 10 liters of water
Holothurioidea also used in a reef of 500 liters make one or two.

clear that we have a big monetary difference between USA and Brazil, the minimum wage here is $ 193.00, an ozonator Red Sea Aquazone Deluxe 100 mg/h here costs U.S. $ 1300.00 in the USA costs U.S. $ 349.00, then we have much less equipment on the reef that you, is that the difference is to use more animals for cleaning?

Well we also (I especially) use animals for cleaning although there is no exact ratio of animals per liter/gallon. We are big on protein skimming as well.

here is another problem, the skimmers costing much more expensive than just using skimmers and there almost at the limit of capacity
I do not have problems with algae in my reefs
I live on an island I'm always looking for new animals to serve as team cleaning
I did a test with a crab, caught one of Wallonia's crowded stone coral farm of a friend
here in Brazil we do not have the Mithraculus sculptus
Forceps Mithraculus he is a great eater of algae, he is fed more at night

the first photo for the last 4 days are the difference
