bulb not lighting
I posted this in another forum but got no help.
My MH bulb is arcing but not lighting? I can leave it plugged in for ever and it will just shoot an arc through the bulb and never light up. Does that mean the bulb is toast? |

it is an older mag ballast that kind of scares me actually!!
Gives me an excuse to buy a new one i guess. SO what makes an ice cap ballast better than the rest? |

That would be the logical thing to do, but i dont have another one to test with unless i tear apart my other fixture.
I thought there was an obvious answer. Found an older bulb in my piles of junk, it lights, but ballast sounds like a small jet engine! So i guess problem solved. Last edited by heyfredyourhat; 02/05/2009 at 12:05 PM. |
