Aptasia for lunch

My two peppermint shrimp ate all 20+ of my aptasia in about 2-3 weeks time. Now do I have to start feeding them or will they be ok scavenging the floor? They do grab some of the mysis when I feed but didn't know if I should hand feed them a big shrimp or how often.

A BIG mistake made by many after the pep's done their job on the aiptasia is that they don't feed these shrimp. If they get to a point of starvation they will go after your corals...which you don't want.

When I feed my Rock Anemone with Silversides I put a few small pieces on a tickler stick and feed them directly twice a week. In between they get what the fish don't get.

Feed them.

Do I need to get some silversides (are these at the aquarium store?) or is something else good too?

I feed mine formula 1 pellets, they are to big for the fish to eat so the peps get em.

I use formula one pellets for shrimp food. They really go after them, and its easy to make sure that its all being consumed.
