what is the diff between t5 and t6 bulbs?

and which is better?

diameter of the bulbs.

the T indicates the shape of the bulbs (tube) and the 5 (or 6) indicates the number of eighths of an inch diameter they are. so a t5 is a tubular bulb 5/8" in diameter, whereas a T6 = 6/8, T12= 12/8, etc.

smaller diameter bulbs will allow you to pack more light in a smaller space.

most t5 are t5ho also where t5 is not
