When to change my color changing DI resin

What color am I looking for in my DI resin? The chamber has about 2 inches of peach colored beads with gold flakes mixed in. The rest on top of that are blue-green colored beads. What will be changing color, the green or gold? And does it change from the bottom up or top down?

Also, this is kind of a separate question. The DI chamber has an inner chamber that actually holds the DI beads. In between the 2 chambers I can see the water level. It never fills more than 1/2 way up the chamber. Is this normal?

My color changing DI is blue and turns brownish peach. They start to turn from the bottom up.
Never trust the color changing DI always use a TDS meter to measure water coming out of the DI if it doesn't show a 0 reading it is time to change the DI.
My chamber acts similar to yours, when the system is off the water fills to the top of the outside chamber but when I am making water the level tends to hang out at the half way mark.
