Catching a cleaner shrimp

Does anyone have any tricks to catch a cleaner shrimp. It always seems to know what I am trying to do. It steals food from my LPS and I think it eats them also.

there are a few methods that will work. You can cut off the bottom of a 2 liter soda bottle,& cover the LPS when u target feed,or you can hand feed the shrimp witha silverside that's what i do,& it keeps him busy enough so the LPS can eat.

try holding the net in the tank and once its not spooked by it squirt some food in the tank with a turkey baster or something near it and when it comes to grab some just snag him. has worked for me but mine eat out of my hand so theyre pretty easy for me to catch

My cleaner shrimp is the easiest thing in my tank to catch. I just slowly put my hand near him and he climbs right up my arm. Try it too with a little of his favorite food between your fingers.

Mine used to steal food from my anemone. I started giving the shrimp a chunk of food to occupy him, then I would feed the anemone. That seemed to work. Ya might try that.

Mine used to crawl on my hand everytime I would put my hand in the tank. When I moved him to my other tank, I put my hand in one side and put a net in the other side of the tank with my other hand. When he crawled on my hand he was focused on that. I then slowly moved the net close to him and then I moved him into the net with the hand he was on.
