Octopus pinwheel replacment for otp pumps?
Has anyone tried the new pinwheel for the otp 1000,2000,3000 pumps? I am considering buying one of these and would love to hear anyone elses experiences.

I bought one, made the pump a little quieter, and the skimmer doesnt go as crazy when I add food with garlic in it. As far as making it a better skimmer....meh.
Mesh doesn't always last very long on these pumps either, so I would say, save your money, wait for a used octo-extreem to come up for sale.

made an immediate difference on my OTP-1000. I am very pleased with the upgrade. went from just okay to good. definately getting more air (had to drop the water height due to the larger foam head). I have a 30g sps/mixed with 10g sump and this is plenty of skimmer for it.
pins arent that short, dont know why the picture came out like that |
