tempting fate?
I got a small green bta last week and isolated it on a rock where it was (I thought) a safe distance from the reef and the glass. Within the first few hours it searched every inch of the rock for a happy anchor spot. I went out for a couple hours and when I came back, I couldnt locate it. I am thinking it released and was blown to who-knows-where. After a moment I found him. I tried to pull him off but he was holding fast. He has remained in this spot now for 4 days. There is no sign of irritation on the capricornis (not even the snot they expell when handled) I know I am tempting fate but he looks really cool here. I think I'll just play along and watch closely for problems.
I wish my little camera could capture the colors of my corals better. The cap is a bright lime green and BTA is a nice deep green.

in time it will irritate it, it will not kill it but you will see white parts on that cap, trust me i have been there, i ended taking the rock out and breaking the part of the rock the anemone was attached to, i since sold the nem....if it doesnt bother you and you like it then just leave it alone and enjoy your tank....good luck
