March 2009 nTOTM contest - Tank Entry

Post your tank pictures now, I know there are many out there I seen them.

Deadline for Tank entry will be: March 4, 2009

Please post:

Here is my 29 gallon biocube that I have had up and running for about 7 months. It has about 30 pounds of live rock and 20 pounds of live sand.

Here's my 8 month old Solana and its been a great tank. Thanks everyone!

Specifications:
- Aquarium: 34g Solana and Stand
- Light Mount: 14” Zero Edge Lamptree
- Light: 20” 250W Current Sunpod
- Controller: Reefkeeper II with Temp and pH
- 2-Part Dosing: Litermeter III and Pump Module (2.75 reservoirs, lasts 28 days)
- Flow: Tunze Nanostream 6025 and 6055 with Single Controller
- Back-up: Xpower 400 UPS for 6025 only
- Auto Top-off: Tunze 5017 with Pump (5.5 gallon reservoir, lasts 14 days)
- Skimmer: Tunze Nano 9002
- Heater: 200W Stealth

Livestock:
- 2 clams
- 15 SPS
- 9 LPS
- 5 Softies

Your tank is too large to be in the ntotm. You have to be 40gal. or lower in total water volume.

This maybe the last month I can enter this tank because I am going to transfer everything into a 34gal solana soon.

Having a tang in a 29g tanks not gonna do it... OMG ***, i think 75 gallon is minimum requirements..... at the smallest 55g w/ yellow tangs only.

He's quite happy! And loves hanging out with the clownfish! I wouldn't have him in there, if I thought he would be uncomfortable.

Here is my 3g Pico. Been setup for roughly 9 months.
- 3 gallon Deco acrylic aquarium - 12-1/2" x 9-5/8" x 7-1/4" high
- 18W compact fluorescent perch-light fixture with 50/50 14,000°K actinic and 7,400°K daylight lamp
- A Catalina Fixture with two 13w PC 50/50 14,000° K actinic and 7,400°K daylight lamp
- Taam Rio Nano Protein Skimmer (Don't use the skimmer anymore)
- Mini Heater for small 2-5 gallon aquariums
- For flow a Tunze Universal pump Mini 5024.04

Livestock:
- 4 SPS
- 6 LPS
- Several different Zoos, Palys, and assorted soft corals
- 1 Sexy Shrimp

How do you know that it's comfortable? I could put a puffer in a 10g and say the same thing. Use a little common sense....
