Tunze Osmolar 3155 and kakwasser stirrer ?

Hello,

Can I use Tunze Osmolar 3155 to dose RO water into kalkwasser stirrer ?

I am asking this as I noted (in product description) that it enables water flow (when water level in sump drops) for max duration of 10 minutes, then stops for a while.

Is such operation optimal (or suitable) with kalk stirrer or shall I search for dosing system that opertes continusly due to lack of water in sump ?

Is anyone using the above mentioned setup ?

Thank you.

I am using the Osmolator w/ a PM Kalk Reator. I would assume that a Kalk stirrer would work equally well.

I have been using mine to feed freshwater into a kalk-reactor which then feeds the the sump for about a year now. Works perfect for me, keeps the PH nice and high.

Only thing was is that the osmolator tubing is a little bigger than your standard hard tubing that you would use on the reactor. Its a metric size I believe, but with a little force it works just fine.

I think calling it a kalk stirrer or reactor is a matter of semantics. They either use a water pump, motor with stir bar, or magnet on the bottom to mix the kalk/water.

Yes, you can use a Tunze Osmolator thru a Kalk Stirrer, just make sure you install a check valve between the Osmolator pump and the Kalk Stirrer.
