250 Watt Ice Cap Question

Hey everyone got a question about the new style ice cap 250 watt ballast... I want to run two ice cap 250 watt ballast with 20k radium bulbs ((( moguel base ))) but a bunch of people say the ballast under drives the bulbs and makes them lose spectrum after 6 months anyone heard of this????? please help and if so what ballast does everyone reccomend on a 120 sps tank with retro
any help on this would be great

If i recall correctly, Radium 250w bulb are HQI bulbs that need 300+ watts to drive them correctly. About losing the spectrum, I have no clue. Sounds possible but who knows! HTH!
