reef bugs and reef chili
What results have you had using these two products? How much and how often are you feeding?

I have never tried either of them. Maybe someone else can share their thoughts.

I have been using reef chili now for well over a year. This is the only food I use for my entire tank.I have 2 clowns,1 yellow watchman gobi,1 crocea clam and several zoanthids, palys and one leather and some shrooms. My tank in a 35 hex with live rock.I run a skimmer and 2 Tunze nanos for circulation.I have no sump or external filter and everything has been up and running like this for close to 2 years. My light is a 150 MH.I have no problems with my water parimeters so the reef chili apparently doesn't pollute the water and the inhabitants are all happy and healthy.

i have tried reef bugs and not had much success with that product. i am getting ready to buy some reef chilli after hearing some very good things about it. another thing i like to use is coral frenzy if you can get it around your way.
lastly Rods food makes a coral only food that is great! again if they sell it around you. other wise the shipping would be a killer on it beacuse it is a frozen food. BTW im glad to see your back on the forums jade! send me a pm with your address, i have had this frag of zoas sitting in my tank waiting on you for awhile now i keep loosing your info. |

i'm using reef chili atm and its doing well... my fish go crazy when i put it in, and my corals tentacles expand in less than a minute when introduced to the tank. i love it. colors are better, and corals seem happy. and does not polute water if properly fed.

Might be off topic, but the only food I use OTC is Coral Frenzy. By far the best food my polyps have ever had. I'm not one for lots of external feeding as they simply don't need it. I feed maybe once or twice a week and many of my polyps go crazy over it. Everyone whom I know that uses it loves it and has seen favorable results. Not knocking any of the other foods above as I have never used them.

Well, my dog/ 10 month old 65 pound puppy got ahold of the reef chili and decided that it tasted great and was fun to toss around. With all the positive comments about Coral Frenzy, I am now considering bitting the bullet and paying for a jar of it. If nothing else, it should be harder for my dog to destroy and therefore last longer.
