ASM Skimmer a good Upgrade?

I have a Turboflotor-1000Multi Skimmer. I was thinking about upgrading to a ASM-G1X or ASM-G2. Would this be worth the money? Both of the models named are more than my 125Gal water column for my 90Gal display. How much higher should your skimmer rating gallons be than your actual water column gallons?

(G1-X=Up to 150Gal; G2=Up to 200Gal)

Would octopus be a better option?

Not really octo extreme 160 or200 or the MSX 160 or 200 would be a better choice.

I had an ASM G3 on my 55 and a 75, never was impressed. I swithced it for a Msx 200 and it is a lot better. I wouldn't go with the ASM.

We have a g1x on our 75 and it is creating alot of skimmate, pretty easy to adjust took about 20 minutes.
