cleaning koralia 1 in ich tank

greetings all- I have a koralia 1 in my 30g tank that is being treated for ich --- fallow for 8 weeks (we're in the first week)

i want to move the koralia to the sump of my 50g tank.

how can i clean it? (plug it into a bleach solution 10:1 water:bleach, then rinse wiht water, then dry??)

i would either dip it in alcohol or boil it for a few mins. But if you dip in alcohol rinse it with vinegar then give it a good hot water bath and run it in the hot water for a few mins.

That's what i would do. My 2 cents. :-)

boiling the plastic powerhead wont compromise it?

I wouldn't boil a powerhead, and alcohol is more expensive than bleach. The bleach will kill any parasites at that ratio. I would do exactly as you said. Just make sure to use plain unscented bleach and rinse/dry until bleach smell is completely gone.
