Tangs fighting
So I introduced a hippo tang to my tank today and the yellow tang is trying to bump it with its tail. I've put mirrors up and had the lights off but is there anything I can/should do or should I just ride it out?
Thanks |

You could try re-arranging the rock, then the yellow will be looking for new spots and will likely leave the hippo alone.

that is normal ,as long as the fighting does not get too bad.the yellow is the most aggressive and should settle down in a few days.

I agree its normal--the yellow tang gives everyone a shot for the first three days.
However my powder blue and the yellow have had a hate on since day one. They have never hurt each other--just in their nature.

Same here. He's just letting the hippo know that that's his tank and keeping him in check. As with capn hylinur my powder blue and yellow bat tails quite often but not for more than a minute or two
