Talking Newbie RC

Hello fellow nutters !! 39 yrs old Born in Liverpool , UK and moved to Toronto, Canada 20 yrs ago.
I am a SW newbie. Have been involved with African Cichlids and always desired a reef. Got a 210G drilled AG for Christmas so let the games begin !! I am an avid DIY guy so I am going to take my time and and attempt to De budget this build as I go. I have built a custom Maple stand and hood. Installed home made durso standpipes. The canopy has 4 x 96 w Compact flourescents and my wallett is empty !! Next step is a 80 Gal sump / refuge DIY... (scariest part yet). My goal is to start with a FOWLR and transform to reef with the minimal amount of discards as possible. I hope to have this completed prior to retirement !!

Welcome Matt. I don't think it's possible to retire with a hobby like this. The retirement money goes directly into the tank and there's nothing left to retire with.

Take a lot of pictures for us.
