DT's or Frozen Instant algae?

I have 3 different Phytoplankton products I use, but dont know which I SHOULD be using.
• DT's (which everyone reccomends, but it's expensive!)
• Frozen Instant Algae (superconcentrated – only a little feeds the tank but)
• Kents PhytoPlex. (Unrefrigerated.)

The frozen instant alga is the easiest and cheapest, but is it appropriate for clams?

I have a 3" blue Ultra Maxima, and a flame scallop. I've been feeding them all three types of phyto. The scallop seems to be doing pretty good. But I've only had him for about 4 months now. his mantle is out and tentacles waving... The ultra Maxima is a month new to my tank. 5" under a 175 halide and attatched to some rock. I need to get Knopps book!

Whaddya think?

Reed Maniculture has a new coral and clam diet.

Suppose to be better than just Instant Algae. Can't be frozen though. I would use Instant Algae as a second choice after the coral and clam diet.
