100 Gallon Rebound Build Thread

Everything is settled with my Ex and custody of my daughter. I got everything that I wanted and dropped what I was paying by about $200 a month. Thanks to Jaime(ZoaFan08) helping me out with some advice I was able to save close to $3000 in legal fees. Took what I had put together for attorney fees and paid off my debt, so time to start building a new system! The build process will be fairly slow as only buying stuff when I have cash in hand, this no credit card thing is amazing!

Gotta start somewhere so.....

I ordered my tank today from So Cal Tropical Fish, thanks Tom! As usual he gave an amazing price on a custom Lee-Mar tank. Tank will be 48x24x20 recessed eurobracing, right rear corner angled overflow with 1.5" Drain, 1" return in glass than drilled through side of overflow, black back and black silicone. Tank will sit back into a corner with back and right side tucked back into the corner. The main plan is to have a nice tank with stability and also as energy efficient as possible without completely breaking the bank. Tank will be mixed reef and I would say slightly SPS dominated.

Now for the equipment plan...

Custom made stand
Custom Sump with Fuge
ATI Sunpower 6x54w with 3 ATI aquablue special and 3 ATI blue +
ATB Econo cone
2x Tunze 6105 w/ 7095(or 7096) Multicontroller
Eheim 1262 Return
JBJ Auto Top Off
CaRX or 2 part(havent decided yet here)
RKE or RKL Controller(Still need to decide if RKE offers enough extras that i would actually use to make it worth the extra $$$)

Tank should be in a few weeks, than the fun start building a new stand and sump.

Stay Tuned!

Thanks guys!

I'll let you know Mike, this probably wont get wet till Mid June, that will give it enough time to get good and cycled/stable before RAP and I can stock up on some frags!

Hey Gaspare you fragging soon?

Shapermike, I expected a long drawn out expensive legal battle with my ex, I flat out told her what I wanted that would be fair to us both and she started threatening to take my daughter away completely, but than soon as I told her I was hiring an attorney and would be taking her to court she backed completely off and gave me everything I wanted and a bit more. Now its a notarized document thats being submitted to the courts and she cant change crap without taking me to court. So yeah, I got off really lucky.....

Glad to hear everything worked out for you. Custody battles can be really ugly (and expensive). Especially once the courts get involved. Can't wait to see how the new tank build comes along.

ATI has delayed their shipment of Sunpowers another 1-2 weeks. Which is okay for me as I am not in a rush, but I did get everything finalized with Greg @ ReefGeek, the guy is awesome and wonderful customer service I highly recommend them for anything lighting related! He's hoping to have mine sent out to me in the next couple of weeks, but well have to see what happens with ATI's shipment.

Tank will be in Thursday of this week, hopefully it comes out as good as promised!

Boo, just found out they had to replace the bottom pane on my tank, no details on what happened, so tank delayed at least a week!

Just picked up the new nano! It looks great. I will post some pics once I can get some help to unload this thing out of the back of my van. If anyone is just sitting around near Buena Park and feels like giving me a hand that would be awesome!

Thanks to CHASDB for helping unload this thing. Everything looks really good. What a huge difference in build quailty between my last visio tank and this leemar.
