Just gotta vent about LA
So after hearing all the good things about LiveAquaria's quality and customer service I decided to give them a try. I've been looking for some bumble bee shrimp to see if they will help get rid of my asterinas and after several weeks of being on the mailing list I finally got the notice that they were in stock yesterday. Luckily the timing of the order couldn't be better since I was going to be home tomorrow. Placed my order for 2 of the shrimp and picked up a long finned fairy wrasse in order to get the $ amount high enough for them to fill the order. So today I get the tracking number and was thinking all was well when about 20 min later my phone rings, it's LA customer service to tell me they screwed up and only shipped one shrimp! Nice, since they are recommended to be kept in pairs similar to harlequins. The only other day that will work for me to get the other shrimp is Saturday and they wanted me to cough up the extra $22 for Sat. delivery. This is why I don't order livestock online.

Had you sacraficed another moment of your precious time, you would have seen customer service was the source of his complaint.

Well, I posted to the LA vendor forum and they have asked me to PM my customer info and order number to look into it. I already spoke to 2 people on the phone today and while they apologized for the mistake they didn't seem in any way interested in trying to offer any solutions other than not charge me for the shrimp that didn't get sent. Hopefully I'll get a better response here.

When I checked my messages this morning LA had already made good on their end. The second shrimp is being delivered tomorrow with no shipping charges! This is the kind of customer service I was expecting.
d.french, thanks for recommending to post in the vedor forum! It's funny how differently they responded when in the public eye. |

LA is always good with their CS. They are one of the best along with PA!
OT I just got done smoking a chicken wrapped in pig bacon and the crust/bark was soggy. The other chicken was not as moist but it tasted better as the smoke came through. Lesson learned... never wrap a chicken in pig meat. 10:55 and I am off to a late, late dinner. This vertical smoker is a PITA to figure out.....4 hours later?? Have you tried picking out the stars by hand? That worked for me
