You know that reef salt that is made for ro water, what would happen if you used it in filtered tap water?

You cannot really filter tap water sufficiently for use in a reef aquarium

I'm guessing you would have filtered tap saltwater and a lot of hair alage.

I've been using nothing but UNFILTERED tap water for my reefs for over 20 years. No problems what so ever, including no hair algae, none, nada.

Maybe I am missing something, but isn't RO water just filtered tap water? Filtered through an RO/DI unit....

My thought too. Where would you get water from then?
