Cleaning Filter Socks? Bleach?

How are we cleaning dirty filter socks these days?

Washing machine? Dishwasher? Hand washing w/ mild bleach solution?

I use the washing machine and bleach. I set it to a long pre-soak and use an extra rinse and spin cycle. I only add a small amount of bleach....it doesn't take much and the machine does a good job of getting it out with the extra rinse and spin cycles.

I also use the washing machine with about 1/8 c bleach and run an extra HOT rinse cycle at the end. Air dry use again in 2 weeks.

Doesn't the bleach stay in the filter a little even if you double rinced and air dried or i'm i just being paranoid. I did do it a couple times but now just use double hot cycle. There not as clean or white but i fell much safer about it.

I Just buy the really cheap nylon panty hose from Walmart (well...I get my wife to buy them) and throw them away after each application.
