External filter fuge
Hello, at the moment I have a HOB fuge that I don't really like, there is salt creep all over the place and I don't think its very efficient. I was thinking of getting a large external filter and plumbing it in to a Lifegard Customflo Water System to help the flow in my tank. The only reason I have a fuge is for pods for my mandarin. I have algae in my DT so that part of it doesn't worry me. I was planning on pulling all the media out of the filter and replacing it with rock rubble, can any one think of any reason why this wouldn't work?
I know the normal way would be to get a sump/fuge but I wouldn't feel comfortable drilling my tank and getting a lifereef overflow to the UK is too expensive!!!
