I found the tanks accidentally, while looking for something to hang their T5 lights over my 34 gallon solana... no idea where to get them or how much they are. They don't seem to come with a skimmer though. I really wish I could find a 34 gallon with starfire glass!
BMGrocks: It is rimless, the trim comes with the tank and you can add if if you'd like (from what I understand)

Solana XL Aquarium Tank Features: 3-Panel high clarlity, low iron beveled glass for the ultimate viewing experience Removable frame top - optional rimless look or use the included wood frame w/hinged glass top Adjustable overflow box with dual flexible outlet nozzles I don't care for the 67 XL, but the 60XL ticks me off, I wanted bigger and rimless and I heard rumors...but couldn't wait and started buying and buying...now I have all this equipment for a 34 gallon...oh well...I'll show them. I'm going to upgrade to a AGE! One day. Last edited by TriggerHappyDude; 03/10/2009 at 10:08 PM. |

I'm guessing the 67xl will be similar to the rsm 250 in price around $1500-$1700. Anything under that would be a pretty good price.

I agree that the 67 can be rimless too;
Solana XL (not exclusive nor specifying just the 60) Aquarium Tank Features: 3-Panel high clarlity, low iron beveled glass for the ultimate viewing experience Removable frame top - optional rimless look or use the included wood frame w/hinged glass top Solana 67 shown with frame kit (sounds optional) & hinged glass top (included in both models) To me this reads that both tanks include the frame kit and you can choose whether or not to use it. |

How much water does a 24" cube hold? I'm assuming the step-up from 34 to 60 gallons is including sump volume.

2' Cube is around 60 gallons (there is a calculator on RC's home page)

The size of the overflow would indicate to me that one is necessary; it's inclusion in a package price however is unbeknownst to me.

Looks like they both include sump:
"Each Solana XL includes 3-panel High Clarity Aquarium, overflow box with plumbing, wood frame trim kit w/hinged glass tops, furniture grade modern black stand, glass sump, micron bag filter assembly, 200 micron filter bag, Quiet One return pump, auto top-off system, filter compartment lighting, hanging arm kit, and Sunpod HQI metal halide lighting system. Some assembly required." |

I was told your LFS might know today or by tomorrow, they can call their distributor and find out the prices and order them.

i'll bet the 67 will be significantly more than the 60 because of the size of the front pane of glass, the larger stand and the larger light.
Anyone have any info on the sumps that these will have? Hopefully they'll have a nice size refuge area and a decent amount of room for a good skimmer. |
