If you want to eliminate Nitrate try Water changes, or VSV additions or a Nitrate reactor of some type. As That is a Gimmic If you don't believe it, Try for yourself and see.

Sounds gimmicky to me. I have live rock and live and to do this in a natural way.

This sounds like that eco something??? I can't remember the name of it....It claims to do the samething with magnets...lol
