Stringy slimy stuff

I'm sure this is a extremely noob question, but whenever I move my corals, they get stressed out and than they secrete stringy slimy stuff. What is that stuff, and also is that stuff bad for my tank and will increase ammonia?

It a stress response, they do this out of the water also to trap a thin layer of water, example is low tide when they are exposed to air.

I wouldn't worry about it, just don't let the stringy slime land on other corals.
