Battery for Inverter

I'm setting up an inverter with a (deep cycle marine?) battery, and need some advice.

Here is the inverter:

http://www.tripplite.com/EN/product...txtModelID=3298

Here are a couple of batteries I'm considering:

http://www.amazon.com/MRG-24-Sealed...6926737&sr=8-11

http://www.batterymart.com/p-12v-74...el-battery.html

Are these batteries appropriate? Also, what kind of cables will I need? Please give a link if you can. Thanks!

I wonder if car battery would be good to use as back up for your tank (and for your car too); how long can it last to run a few powerheads?

Some batteries measure in amp-hours. A 72ah battery can run 1 amp for 72 hours.

Batteries are easily connected in series for additional amp-hours.

I think car batteries are a very different animal from marine deep cycle batteries. I think you can run into some serious issues using car batteries. If you google some of the marine battery manufacturers, some of them have detailed descriptions for setting up with inverters.
