Can you set up an ATO with a neptune aquacontroller jr?

I have an auto top off system that keeps tripping my GFI outlet... so im looking for a new one. I am also considering getting an aquacontroller jr. I think i may have read that you can run an auto top off through that unit.. maybe something about an expansion port or something?

Any one know if its practical to do this or if its cheaper/ better to go with something else for ATO?

First find out why your ATO is tripping GFI. Perhaps a frayed wire, loose connection. Maybe the feed pump?

Get another ATO unit if you cannot debug

I'm sure you can use the controller to turn/off on a pump, however I think it will be a PITA. I use a Maxi 900 on my ATO. I will move a few gallons quite fast.

The JBJ is a nice unit. Little pricey.

I've been using this setup for several years. Works well.

Good Luck.

I believe the only thing an AC jr could do would be to turn the pump on/off so many times a day. Maybe the serial port option would allow a way to hook float sensors, not sure. You can check over at the Neptune forum. May get some better info.

As for the ato, you can purchase new floats asn such from aquahub.com. You may be able to repair what you have.
