Questions about flow though your calcium reactors and effluent diffusing chamber
Hi guys,
I was wondering what you guys have for your flow through your reactors? I getting ready to build mine and I see lots of people that use the Maxi-Jet 1200 to feed from the tank through the reactor and back to the tank, but what type of drip rate are you guys running? Main reason I ask is I found some small peristaltic dosing pumps that do just over .55 gallons a day. My total system is around 200 gallons and I will be adding a small 2ft x 2ft x 10in frag tank in the next few weeks. So maybe a total of around 220-250 with skimmer and RDSBs. I don't have many SPS corals now, but I plan on letting the ones I have now grow to large colony's. Also with building mine is there any pros to using more then one effluent diffusing chamber? I have a 6in main chamber that will be about 20in high and some extra 2.5in that's just sitting around and was going to make one effluent diffusing chamber with it. I might have enough to make more then one. Would making two of them make any more of a difference then just having the one? Thanks Rob
