Can I do SPS in my BioCube with this lighting upgrade?

I'm considering this lighting upgrade for my 29 gallon Oceanic BioCube (Upgrade)

The standard hood already comes with a 10,000K and a Actinic PC bulb...it looks like the mod will add two additional PC bulbs and I can choose to add 2x 10K or 1 10K and 1 Actinic or 1 10K and 1 50/50.

Just wondering since the hood on the BioCube sits so close to the surface of the water and the maximum depth of the BioCube is about 15" whether I could realistically do some SPS corals...or do I really need to consider doing the HQI mod? they have a 70W and 140W version (although they are really pricey with the HQI mods)

I would go Mh if looking to keep SPS.. Some may do allright under the PC but nothing spectacular in the colour department

You could go with the 20"Sunpod, MarineandReef.com has them for $229.

Don't forget about bulb changes...PC bulbs are expensive. That mod nets you not all that much more performance for a serious kick to the wallet.

I did the pc mod to a bio cube and i put a few pieces of digita up high in the tank. They did ok slow growing but they always had nice color.
