Little creatures in sand...?

Hi Guys...
Just a quick question….

Over the weekend I bought some zoas frags that came in plugs….so, I stuck them in my live sandbed (4” deep)…well a day later it was time to place them in the rocks but when I picked up the plugs I notice all these tiny creatures…are those just regular capepods or similar?....I have noticed lots of little things in the water too….I figure those are capepods because I can see their little shapes moving on the glass, but these on the plugs look bigger (very clear to the naked eye) and not as transparent or white….any ideas?

I know…newbies right?...thanks for the help!

Copepods and amphipods are quite diverse (about 13,000+ species of copepods alone) in their appearance. They major difference is how their body is compressed, either lateral or ventral compression. I would guess they are just a different species that you imported.

I had the same thing in my tank but it was bigger than the ones I had on my glass and it was more white. I didn't know what it was and it came out with a rock I pulled so I left it out.
