What are they.............

Greetings,

My FOWLR tank is fairly new, having only been running for about 4 to 5 weeks now. Everything thing is going pretty well as far water conditions, algea growth, etc, etc. Within the last couple of weeks things are starting to happen..life wise that is.

Question is? What are those tiny almost micro-scopic white little creatures moving rapidly all over the glass inside the tank. I'm not totally hip yet to all the various micro bugs and such that exist on the live rock and all over the tank, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks !!

They sound like amphipods and/or copepods. Both of which are beneficial......

Amphipods or copepods, most likely the latter if they are truly as small as you say.

once you introduce a predator, they will be much less visible in the day time.
