250w mh refector opinions needed
I am interested in members opinions in this mh retro reflector
Info Page I use to have SE mh with PFO refectors over my tank but I had a h terrible time getting in the tank when needed. I also wanted to try the pheonix bulbs so I bought some and installed them over my 120. Now I dont think the tank looks as good as it did before, it just doesnt seem as bright. I have seen many tanks with the Pheonix bulbs and I do like the colors on their tanks. Are these refectors crappy or is there something else I should be looking into. I am open to other suggestions, but I do have limited space in my canopy, I need something small enough to allow for my t5 supplimentals as well. Thanks |

Phoenix bulbs are a different breed all to themselves. May be the best out there but I don't like the color rendering on a 14k. Also nothing wrong with the reflectors you bought either. You buy the same kelvin rated bulb as your others?

before switch from SE to DE, I had reeflux 12,000k SE over my tank and when I made the switch I borrowed some reeflux 12,000k from a friend to see how they differed from the Pheonix bulbs. You could definately tell the difference in color, but even with both reeflux bulbs in my corals didnt "pop" like they did with the SE bulbs for some reason.
