Did you know Reefcentral is made up of Paying and non-paying members??
Did you know that when you pay there are additional things that become available at RC that are normally not available to "General Members" who don't pay.
Did you know the Club could be a paying member at RC. Did you know the Club could become a client that we could purchase under. I know several sights for materials where being something other than a private person would be benificial. Did you know the club could cover risks associated with Group Buys and help out with the Administration. And aid purchases to achieve greater savings. If you have not administered a group buy yet you may not understand this one. Did you know the club can become a virual warehouse of common consumable suplies. Light bulbs, DI Resin, Filters, Additives. There is more to add but I have to go to training.

For the individual it isn't huge, but the main thing is that you can use the search feature and it actually works. That can be very helpful. You can also upload more and bigger photos into your gallery. Those are the only things I noticed although there may be more that I never use.

the more reliable search is nice though. i also signed up because i feel it's a small price annually for what you get. the money from advertisers doesn't not making anyone rich. the only way upgrades to this forum can be made is if enough people become paying members. there's always a lot of complaining about the search function, but people don't understand the overhead for the traffic on this site. i figure i'm on here every day and the money i save buying, selling, trading, and getting free help is more than worth the couple of dollars a month...

I'm just wondering...
What are the benefits of uploading to a photo gallery here at RC... versus posting a photo in a thread from an off-site photo hosting website like Photobucket, Flickr, etc, etc?

I was trying to draw simularities here because of the feedback on the poll to move this club forward. Everybody on here is already part of a group thats is segregated between paying and non paying members.
Throwing money and time at something means your willing to suport it.

Your poll seems to indicate (so far) that most are not interested.

I am more interested in education at this point and in letting people know where I stand on this.
What I don't want to do is impose things on people who don't want anything to do with the organization. They don't here at RC and I don't think we need to either. But my resorces are not enough to move forward I need help.

I just use photobucket, as pointed out by Zoku....
But I notice Dan, that your name has "Registered Member" under it just like mine.... I think the goal is to make this as little about money until it has to be as possible. |
