t-5 VHO bulb choice
with this retro http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...s~vendor~.html what bulb would you recomend for growth not color i much rather get more growth in the begining

Thats a VHO setup, not a t-5 HO setup...
I get a little confused on those lines myself... so dont mind me if i'm wrong! lol |

I wouldn't bother with a VHO setup unless I found a used one for nearly free on craigslist.
VHO uses a TON of electricity compared to T5. T5 puts out quite a lot more PAR for the watt than VHO. I can't say that based on any study I've done or read, but based on the fact that you have people all over the place growing SPS under T5, but nearly nobody being successful with SPS and VHO bulbs. Spend your money on a standard T5HO retrokit, like the IceCap or TEK retros from Reefgeek.
