how to hung T5 Tek fixture with cables !!!!!! help

would anyone know how to hung a Tek fixture using the cables? i was just wondering , do u have to find a beam ? or you can just drill right into the ceiling ?

so i would just connect it the the beam after i screw in the beam in the ceiling ??

You could do that if you'd like.. But MAKE SURE you're connecting to a beam thats behind your drywall or whatever your ceiling is made out of (otherwise is could fall out and you'd have a mess on your hands). what if there is not beam directly over my tank? what do i do then??

hire someone that knows what they are doing nothing personal but if you cant figure that out you prolly have no buisness doing it

yeah might be a good idea..

if there's no beam directly over your tank (most likely) you'll have to drill 1 or 2 pieces of wood to your ceiling probably, drill those into the closest beams behind the drywall and then you have something to drill your hanging kit into. No offense but you don't sound too savvy in this category so getting some help might be good.

heres a quick sketch to give you a better idea. remember you have to get a studfinder to find exactly where the beams are above your ceiling, don't assume they're where you need them to be.
