I collect hermits!

I need some more suggestions on unique hermits, currently I have 2x halloween, 1x electric blue nuckle, 2x right handed(right claw is big and fat, red, black and white), couple blue legs, 2x scarlets, couple red legs, a white furry one, and a strawberry hermit. I like hermits! they all have names

no not at all, i would imagine hundreds... thats why i'm looking for some suggestions and where to get them, because the lfs here in iowa are majorly deficient on cool inverts.

What about staghorn hermits. There are special care requirements, but they're rather unique hermit crabs:

I have thought about them, but what happens if their homes die?

That's the big problem with them. I've never kept one, but their homes need to be fed, and are certainly at risk of expiring before the crab does. I debated getting one when I had my display refugium set up, since there wouldn't have been much risk of predation in that environment. My guess is that they're not very suitable for many tanks, and Live Aquaria seems to say the same.
