Reef Complete promote Algae growth??

Has anyone noticed an increased algae growth after adding Seachem Reef Complete???
Like most of us I am fighting a little hair algae/Byropsis. I feed almost nothing, change water, run a PO4 reactor and have a refugium. The other night I noticed the offending algae was looking a little gray, like it was dying. Yea!!
Then I dosed with the Reef Complete, like I do in between weekly water changes. The next day the algae looked great again!!
RRRRRR
