Whats the difference between radium and non radium bulbs?
Might be a dumb question but kind of curious.........

radium is simply the brand name of a bulb (or lamp technically), they have a very popular 400 watt SE 20K lamp

Radium bulbs are good bulbs. Nice color and stable spectrum. They may cost more but they are good bulbs and worth it IMO.
The other difference is the ballast - you won't be able to run the Radium of a standard probe start ballast. You need to use them with an electronic ballast or an HQI ballast. |
