ricordea splitting

I have a ric that has started the splitting process 3 weeks now and with this being my first experience with them. How long will it take for the process to be complete?
I'm not in any hurry to split them, but would just like to know the time frame.

I have seen ricordea with more than 3-4 mouth. It can take month for them to split. So just take a razor and cut them.

I'm really in no hurry but maybe I will cut them just for the experience.

I had one for over a year before it split.
It turned into a long row with 6 moths, and then started splitting all of them.

I don't think there's any right OR normal way.
Cutting does work though, as long as everything looks healthy before you do.

I have a bunch of floridas, that don't look like single polyps at all, but they are. They have rows of mouths that they have formed, but refuse to split. I'm going to cut each polyp up into a ton of polyps once I have the time.

I have cut a large one off the rock it was on with a razor and then took scissors and cut it into 6 or 7 pices and put them in the botom of my frag tank. Within a month or so they all were about a inch and had formed there own mouth.
